Two Amazonia residents injured in wreck

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two Amazonia residents were injured in a wreck.

The Patrol says 52-year-old Connie Harter and 62-year-old Keith Harter were in a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country on Route K in Andrew County, two miles north of St. Joseph.

At 10 p.m. Wednesday, the Chrysler traveled off the road, becoming airborne before striking the ground, going up an embankment, and hitting a utility pole.

Connie Harter, the driver, received moderate injuries, but refused treatment, while Keith Harter suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Mosiac Life Care in St. Joseph. Both were wearing seatbelts.
